Prestigious international yachting magazine places this blossoming regatta among its favourites.

The race is invitation-only, making it highly exclusive and desirable for potential entrants.

The prestige gained after its third edition in 2023 was key in naming it one of the Med’s most thrilling end-of-season events.

Palma/Ibiza, 06 February 2024.

After its third edition in 2023, the Ibiza JoySail Superyacht Regatta features in the calendar of the top regattas according to prestigious media partners in the yachting industry. This is a huge milestone in its blossoming career and a sign of the recognition the event has gained within the global superyacht racing community.

Making the top with just three editions under its belt, and alongside some of the world’s most prominent races, is an amazing feat that has made the organising committee incredibly proud. However, this recognition comes purely from the opinions and testimonials of participants from the last three years.

Ibiza JoySail, promoted by STP Shipyard Palma and Marina Ibiza, takes place in the breathtaking waters of Mallorca, Ibiza and Formentera, and is a thrilling experience for both experienced and amateur sailors, as there are various types of categories, ranging from Performance to the more gentile Corinthian without the need to change the yacht’s configuration or take on extra crewmembers or sails.

The chance to race in different categories according to the level of competition sought by each owner and the wonderful family & friends format to close the summer season in a laid-back atmosphere have been two keys to the huge success of this event.

After the roaring success of the first two editions, the race became invitation-only to make it more exclusive and more desirable, but also so that the organisers could have everything under control and focus on every last detail, which has always been highly appreciated by contestants.

The fourth edition in 2024 will be full of new developments, with sailing lovers in Ibiza being given the chance to break the race record, currently held by the Swan 115 S/Y Moat. During a thirty-day window before the race, participants will be able to set sail at any time and depending on the weather conditions in an attempt to snatch the record from the Moat team.

This new but already highly prestigious regatta combines the thrill of competitive sailing with the sheer beauty of Balearic waters and an exclusive social programme, giving participants an extraordinary backdrop to round off the season with a truly memorable experience.

From 19 to 22 September, the fourth edition of Ibiza JoySail will be hosted by STP Shipyard Palma and Marina Ibiza along with sponsors and yachting firms keen to take part in an event that has rekindled the traditional spirit of mythical regattas, where healthy rivalry, spectacular settings, and a laid-back yet thrilling atmosphere are the name of the game.
