Ibiza JoySail is a “SYRA Sanctioned Regatta”.

The SuperYacht Racing Association (SYRA) is a non-profit organisation open to any superyacht owner who participate in regattas or any other superyacht event, with the mission to determine a timely way forward to educate, advise, and inform boat captains and yacht owners regarding onboard safety.

Safe sailing and fair racing are meaningful challenges to the organisers and race committees who manage superyacht regattas. The SYRA was established to address these essential elements and maximize the enjoyment of any participating or prospective superyacht owner.

The ORC rating system does not compare the characteristics of one boat to another; it measures how a racing crew can reach their boat’s theoretical performance potential.
Thanks to the VPP, ORC can calculate the theoretical speeds that a boat should achieve on a given race course in the given conditions.

ORC supports Ibiza JoySail with two representatives in the regatta who assisted participants with any doubt or claim regarding ratings.
